Candace “Kandis” Wallace

Candace Wallace has over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, with a background spanning hotel sales and operations, events, catering, and food & beverage operations. Throughout her career, she has worked across multiple areas of hospitality and brings hands-on experience from both the operational and client sides of the industry.

She is the owner of Council of Vibes and Just My Graze, two Austin-based hospitality businesses, and has remained actively involved in the local hospitality community throughout her career. Candace previously served on the board for HSMAI and is also a member of Phi Theta Kappa. She earned two degrees through the hospitality program at Austin Community College and is excited to serve on the advisory board as both an industry professional and former student. She hopes to help strengthen connections between students and the hospitality community while encouraging more real-world industry engagement during the student experience!
