After a 10-year career with the Texas Department of Human Services, Delores, along with her husband, Richard, took their first entrepreneurial journey, building a successful company weatherizing low-income homes and apartments throughout Texas.\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Since November, 2000, Delores has led Premiere Events, Austin. Throughout its history, Premiere has grown organically and by acquisition, purchasing a major Austin competitor in 2009, a small party rental in Dripping Springs, Wedding Capital of Texas, in 2015, and in 2016, acquitting Party Time Rentals, now Premiere Events BCS, a Bryan-College Station Texas\u00a0 institution formed in the mid nineteen seventies.\u00a0\u00a0Ms. Crum provides overall leadership, charts the course and set the general direction for the Crum\u2019s event-rental endeavors.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mrs. Crum describes herself as an Entrepreneur, Philanthropist, Author, Teacher, Mentor, <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">and \u2018Board Junkie\u2019. As proof, Delores has served on the National American Rental Associa-<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">tion Board (Shared Event Rental Interest Group Chair),\u00a0 ARA Foundation Board,\u00a0 and as a\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Foundation of NACE Trustee. At the State level, Delores is a past President of the Texas Rental Association \u2013 the 2<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">nd<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> female in the organizations then 50+ year history to hold that role.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Mrs. Crum has received numerous individual awards and recognition for her outstanding contributions to the rental and events industry. In 2015, Delores was the first-ever inductee into the ISES-Austin Hall of Fame. Delores was twice named \u2018Rental Person of the Year\u2019 by Texas Rental Association, and Region IV (Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Oklahoma) Rental Person of the Year by American Rental Association. In 2016, Delores earned the highest volunteer honor given by the American Rental Association when she received ARA\u2019s Distinguished Service Award.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Delores is involved with and supportive of the Central Texas Events Community. She has served as the International Live Events Association (ILEA)-Austin president and has held 5 different roles within Austin\u2019s NACE (National Association for Catering and Events) Chapter. In November, 2022, Delores and the Premiere team were instrumental in founding the NACE BCS (Bryan-College Station), where Delores served as the first NACE BCS President.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In the not-for-profit sector, Mrs. Crum has served as President of Voices for Children \u2013 CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) Board, and as Governance Committee Chair for Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Texas. In 2024, Delores joined the UP (Unlimited Potential) Board, serving along her friend and the organization\u2019s founder, Jacquee Flagg, On the for-profit side, Delores is a proud member of the Prime Bank of Texas Board, serving with Bank Chair, Bobby Priestley, and Tanya Miller, Board President.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Delores Crum loves her family, her team, her work and the Austin and BCS communities. The Crum\u2019s blended family includes 2 sons and 2 daughters, along with 12 grandchildren and 3 bonus grandchildren.\u00a0 She and Richard enjoy living in both the 10th most populous City in the US and the 24th most populous County out of 254 Counties in the Great State of Texas. Delores and Richard also have a passion for travel, both foreign and domestic. They&#8217;ve visited all 50 US Capital Cities, the Nation&#8217;s Capital, all 10 Provincial Capitals in Canada as well as the Canadian Capital of Ottawa.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Beyond rental, and apart from her industry service and philanthropic activities, Delores has authored and published two books: Simple Success Strategies \u2013 Live the Life You Deserve and Magic, Money and Meaning \u2013 Crafting a Prosperous and Purposeful Life.
