{"id":2027,"date":"2022-08-17T18:18:22","date_gmt":"2022-08-17T18:18:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cht.austincc.edu\/hospitality\/?page_id=2027"},"modified":"2025-08-28T13:51:51","modified_gmt":"2025-08-28T13:51:51","slug":"introduction-to-foods","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/cht.austincc.edu\/hospitality\/introduction-to-foods\/","title":{"rendered":"Introduction to Foods"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Students are required to take Introduction to Foods which falls under the Culinary Department.\u00a0 Please review the following information in regards to the course so that you are set up for success.<\/p>\n<p>Please note that students are required to supply the Culinary Department with a copy of their Food Handler&#8217;s Certificate.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Orientation:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Students must participate in the Culinary Department&#8217;s orientation.\u00a0 Information on time and date can be found on the following <a href=\"https:\/\/cht.austincc.edu\/cularts\/culinary-arts-orientation\/\">culinary department page<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Uniforms:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please make sure that you review the uniform information found <a href=\"https:\/\/cht.austincc.edu\/cularts\/uniform-and-tools\/\">here<\/a>.
